White pavilion with hay bales and mums, a petting zoo pen, a pony corral, and a tractor-drawn hayride wagon on the lawn of a fall festival

The City of Seven Hills Fall Fest fills Summitview Pavilion with a free family afternoon on Saturday, October 3, 2026. Running from 1:00 to 5:00 PM behind Seven Hills City Hall at 7325 Summit View Drive, the festival brings together a petting zoo, hayrides, costumed princesses, and a polka band. Since Seven Hills borders North Royalton to the east, it is one of the closest fall events on the calendar for families near 10621 Sherwood Trail, a quick drive with no highway required.

A Free Afternoon Built for Kids

The Fall Fest is a compact, no-frills event that younger kids absolutely love. The petting zoo is the usual first stop, followed by tractor-drawn hayrides around the pavilion lawn. Costumed princesses wander the grounds for photo moments, and the polka band keeps the pavilion lively for parents watching from the picnic area. Everything takes place behind City Hall at Summitview Pavilion, which means parking and stroller access are simple, and the whole festival is easy to walk end to end with a preschooler in tow.

Right Next Door to North Royalton

Proximity is the quiet superpower of this one. Seven Hills shares a border with North Royalton, and the festival's pavilion location off Summit View Drive is only a few minutes from the western edge of town. That makes it an easy call when the weekend is already packed: no long drive, no tolls, no all-day commitment. Just show up whenever fits, let the kids burn off energy, and head home. Events this close reinforce what I tell buyers about the area: the fall calendar here is deep, and most of it is within a ten-minute radius of the house.

Fall Festival Season in Full Swing

The Fall Fest, which took over from the city's former Oktoberfest, lands on the same Saturday as Oktoberfest at The Chalet in nearby Strongsville, so Greater Cleveland families can choose their flavor: a free neighborhood festival with animals and princesses, or the Metroparks' lodge celebration with polka and hayrides. For North Royalton families, it is the kind of weekend that can be entirely filled without leaving the southwestern Cuyahoga County corner. It is also the reason fall is my favorite season to show this area, every Saturday in October has more happening than any one family can attend.
